Who are you?
We are Room4UEurope - online destination agents for our Internet partners Superbreak Mini-Holidays Plc, Activehotels Ltd and the Italy based travel merchant, Venere. We provide a list of over 12,000 hotels and guest houses throughout Europe at agreed special internet-only discount rates. Room4U is the culmination of the great online booking technology provided by our booking partners, our own discerning taste and the input and outstanding service provided by literally 1000s of individual hotels and guest houses. Over 140,000 people use Room4UEurope every month.

What do you do?
We specialise in bringing you the biggest, the brightest and best hotels and guest houses together in one unique and express directory. Think of us as an online travel agent. We find the hotel, agree the price and liaise with the hotel agents on your behalf.

The secure booking areas are housed within the technology of our online booking partners, Activehotels Ltd, Superbreak Mini-Holidays and Venere whose booking technology links with the hotel booking systems directly.

Where are you based?
We are based in Aberlour, Scotland and under ownership of the design agency Pixel Loom Design Ltd whose Head Office is in Yorkshire, England..

We have a small but reliable team of employees manning the database and combing Europe for new hotels and great new rates. Our office is manned between 9am and 6pm, seven days a week. We work throughout the year, although Room4UEurope office is closed on Christmas Day, New Years Day and Easter Sunday, but reservations can still be made via our website.

Do you have a brochure?
No, we do not currently have a brochure although all our pages are available to print from source online.

Our website shows our entire portfolio of hotels. The website also displays the most up-to-date prices and Special Offers, and is modified daily to ensure that our visitors get the latest deals and availability.

Can I book at short notice?
Bookings can be made anytime up a day prior to the day of your stay.

Do I pay a booking fee?
No – There is no additional charge.

Are all prices in British Pounds (£)?
For our Superbreaks and Activehotel properties all charges are in British Pounds(£), irrespective of the location of the hotel.


What if I am arriving late at the hotel?
Your booking is guaranteed for late arrival but it is always worth calling the hotel to advise them if you are going to be very late. At some of the smaller hotels it is entirely possible that the owner is waiting up for you. On the otherhand, they might not, so please do try to warn of any potential delays beforehand.

The hotel telephone number is displayed on all booking receipts/mail confirmations.

What can I expect for dinner when it is included in the price?
Dinner is normally 3 course based on a Table D'hote menu i.e. a selection of meals of the day. A La Carte meals will also be available but a supplement would then probably apply.Many of the Room4U hotels will offer a vegetarian meal but the choice may be restricted. Any special dietary requirements should be advised at time of booking.

What room types are available?
Hotels in the UK offer single, double (i.e. 1 double bed) and twin (2 single beds) bedrooms. Family rooms for three or four are generally available and these are normally either twin or double rooms with extra child or sofa beds. It is rare for hotels to offer rooms to accommodate either 3 or 4 adults.

What is a Midweek single supplement?
Unless stated otherwise all our prices show the price of sharing a twin or double room. Single supplements are applied by hotels to reflect the price they charge for a single room and should be added to the half twin price. ‘Midweek’ is Monday to Thursday inclusive. Some hotels alternatively charge week-round single supplements. So if you want a single at a weekend look for hotels that only charge midweek. All details on AL charges will be displayed in the booking area prior to you submitting and approving your card details.

Do I get a larger room if I pay the single supplement?
Unfortunately not. The price charged is for a single room although some hotels do allocate larger rooms for the same rate.

Children are travelling in our party do we get a discount?
Normally children are free if sharing with 2 adults or half price in their own room. There are some exceptions to this and these will show in the price when you 'Confirm Cost'. ‘Free’ children do not have meals included and these must be paid for at the hotel.

How do I get to the hotel?
The hotel address will be provided with your mail confirmation of the booking. This information will also be provided on the email and postal confirmation that will be sent to you. Each UK hotel entry has a printable map to assist in planning your route.

What's included in the price?
A complete price breakdown can be obtained by clicking the "confirm cost" button after checking availability of your chosen hotel. All prices include service and VAT.

Can Room4UEurope arrange wedding receptions?
Unfortunately no, these must be organised and arranged with the hotel directly.

What if I need to change my reservation?
A small administration or cancellation charge will apply in some instances.

Are my credit card details secure?
Yes. - All our booking partners use a secure server to encrypt and protect all communication of personal details and credit card information between yourself and Room4UEurope. Activehotel's and Superbreak's secure server is authenticated and certificated by Thawte.com. Venere use VeriSign.

Can I book a large group?
For groups of 10 or more please mail groups@room4ueurope.com

Can I book a conference hall?
Conferences, weddings and groups of 10 or more please mail groups@room4ueurope.com

Why can I not book Room4UEurope hotels by telephone?
The costs that would be offset by having staff to man the necessary telephone lines 24 hours a day, seven days a week would mean Room4UEurope would not be able to offer you the offers and discounts we are presently able to. At the time of going to press the Room4UEurope business model is based entirely online.

Reserving a hotel online is as safe as reserving a hotel by telephone - the same billing information is requested in either circumstance.
